Health insurance for foreigners
Slavia Pojišťovna offers two types of health insurance for foreigners.
Health insurance for foreigners for acute and emergency medical care
The insurance covers the costs of acute and emergency care. If an application for a residence permit has been lodged abroad, this insurance satisfies the legal duty imposed by the Act on Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic.
Comprehensive health insurance
The insurance covers the costs ofwhich provides medical care at a level comparable close to Czech public health insurance. Pursuant to the Act on Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic, this insurance is compulsory for those persons who lodge an application for a residence permit exceeding 90 days or apply for extension of the term of their residence in the territory of the Czech Republic after 1 January 2011.
